Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous education and/or experience in structural welding, manufacturing, or other related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with steel fabrication & welding tools and procedures is preferred.
• Familiarity with shop drawings, engineering blueprints and schematics is preferred.
• OSHA/Safety certifications are a plus.
• Reliable transportation to/from work.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Follow EZARC apprenticeship program to become Journeyman Ironworker.
• Learn how to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Assist with layout & erection of structural steel and related components.
• Work with Journeyman Ironworker to verify material, measurements, and specs.
• Assist with rigging and hoisting of steel members and loading/unloading materials.
• Learn cutting, welding, fitting, bolting, and fastening of steel members and decking.
• Work at heights using fall protection equipment.
• Learn to utilize aerial lifts and power tools.
• Maintain high quality standards and perform quality checks.
