Job summary

Trillium Construction seeks Apprentice Ironworkers near Scottsdale, AZ to help construct a Flexjet private aviation terminal and aircraft maintenance hangar. Apprentices work under journeymen, gaining hands-on experience in structural steel erection, rigging, and metal installation on a large commercial project.

You will assist with erecting and installing structural steel, unloading materials, and performing layout measurements while following safety protocols on site.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hands-on commercial ironworking experience.
• Ability to read basic measurements and perform layouts.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeymen with erecting and installing structural steel.
• Unload, organize, and stage steel materials on site.
• Install bolts, clips, decking, and miscellaneous metal components.
• Assist with rigging operations and guide suspended loads safely.
• Maintain safe work areas and assist with stairs and railing installation.

Apprentices will work under the direction of experienced journeymen while gaining hands‑on experience in structural steel erection, rigging, and miscellaneous metal installation on a large commercial construction project.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist journeymen with erecting and installing structural steel components.
• Help unload, organize, and stage structural steel materials.
• Install bolts, clips, decking, and miscellaneous metal components.
• Assist with aligning steel members during crane picks.
• Use hand and power tools to prepare, fit, and install structural components.
• Perform layout measurements and material handling as directed.
• Assist with rigging operations and safely guide suspended loads.
• Install temporary bracing and maintain safe work areas.
• Help install stairs, railings, embeds, and support steel.

Pay and Schedule

Pay: Up to $30

Schedule: Mon - Fri, 40h+ / week

Qualifications

• 1+ years of hands‑on commercial ironworking experience
