Job summary

Signit Inc DBA FASTSIGNS is hiring for a full-time Fabricator Trainee to join our team for a new career opportunity. The role involves preparing substrates, learning to operate and maintain tools, and performing quality checks on Work Orders.

You will also learn finishing operations per NEC codes, report inventory needs, and help keep production areas clean. We offer advancement opportunities, paid time off, training, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Available to work 5 days full time.
• Able to stand for long periods (4+ hours).
• Lift up to 50 lbs and seek help when needed.
• Flexible to lean over when performing tasks.
• Work well under pressure to complete assignments.
• Willing to learn proper use of power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare substrates for application: cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning.
• Learn to operate and maintain tools and machinery.
• Perform quality checks by reading Work Orders and checking for errors.
• Learn finishing operations such as NEC-compliant lighting standards.
• Report inventory levels and reorder needs to center/production managers.
• Clean and maintain storage areas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare substrates for application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning
• Learn to Operate and maintain tools and machinery
• Perform quality assurance measures pre‑and post‑production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Learn and perform finishing operations such as electrical lighting standards per NEC Code
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Qualifications

• Available to work 5 days full time and excited regarding learning new skills and production techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or reasonable pounds and willing to ask for help when needed.
• Flexibility to lean over when needed to perform job skills
• Ability to work under pressure when needed to complete work assignment timely
• Desire to learn proper use of power equipment
