Position: Apprentice Electrician
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt
Reports to: Production Supervisor

DESCRIPTION AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Autovol, Inc. in Nampa operates the first fully automated volumetric modular factory in the United States and one of the most advanced modular manufacturing facilities in the world. The primary role of this position is to assist electricians by performing duties requiring less skill. This includes using, supplying, or holding materials and tools, as well as cleaning work areas and equipment. The right candidate will be eager to learn, well-organized, detail-oriented, and focused on the success of the team/company as a whole.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions of the Apprentice Electrician position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Measure, cut, and pull wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools
  • Trace short circuits in wiring using test meters
  • Strip insulation from wire ends using wire stripping pliers
  • Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings using hand and power tools
  • Assist in the installation of a variety of electrical systems and equipment
  • Perform semi-skilled and unskilled labor duties related to electrical construction and assembly work
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety standards
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by leadership or supervision
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong ability to read and understand residential construction documents
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
  • Fast learner with a proactive, team-first mindset
  • Strong communication skills—clear, honest, and professional
  • Comfortable working in a high-performance, accountability-driven environment
  • Ability to install electrical panels and support troubleshooting activities
  • Experience in residential or commercial electrical systems strongly preferred
EDUCATION & SKILLS:
  • Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems
  • Ability to understand schematic diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment
  • Desire to innovate and improve processes, with willingness to stretch beyond current standards
  • Willingness to implement procedures and instructions to improve team performance
  • Strong problem-solving skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position requires frequent speaking, listening, sitting, use of hands and fingers, and handling objects with appropriate breaks. This is an active position that requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and regularly lifting 50+ pounds. The work environment includes a fast-paced automated manufacturing facility.
