Job summary

Minards Electric LLC in Dickinson, ND is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to learn the trade hands-on alongside experienced electricians. This entry-level role offers exposure to residential, commercial, and industrial installations while building a lasting career in the electrical industry.

You'll assist journeyman and master electricians, pull wire, read basic blueprints, maintain safe job sites, and participate in apprenticeship training to advance licensure, with a strong emphasis on safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Enrolled in or willing to enroll in a state-approved electrical apprenticeship program.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and electrical safety practices.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions common to western North Dakota.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience.
• Drug test completed before starting work.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman and master electricians with residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installations.
• Pull wire, run conduit, and install electrical panels, outlets, switches, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret basic electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in compliance with OSHA and NEC standards.
• Troubleshoot and assist in diagnosing electrical issues under supervision.
• Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites as needed.
• Participate in apprenticeship training program and coursework to advance licensure.
