Job summary

Exponential Power in the South Atlanta area is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to support residential battery energy storage installations externally on homes, working alongside an experienced Journeyman Technician. These systems provide backup electricity for homes and are part of an expanding energy storage offering.

The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, comfortable working outdoors, and ready to be an active member of the installation team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Journeyman Electricians with residential battery energy storage installations.
• Measure, cut, and prepare PVC conduit and materials for installation.
• Load, unload, and organize tools and materials at job sites.
• Perform general job-site preparation and cleanup.
• Assist with wiring, connections, and other electrical installation tasks under the direction of a Journeyman.
• Follow established installation procedures and safety requirements.
• Learn proper electrical installation techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Help the team complete approximately two installations per day, depending on project requirements.
• Be willing to learn new equipment, processes, and technologies as the business expands.

Job description

We are looking for an Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team in the South Atlanta area. This is an entry-level electrical field position supporting installations of residential battery energy storage systems externally on homes and living arrangements, working alongside an experienced Journeyman Technician.

These systems function as remotely monitored, providing residential properties with backup electricity without the use of a traditional generator. Along with providing distributed energy networks in which the batteries installed can collectively provide additional capacity to the electricity grid, giving the homeowner savings and duality when it comes to power.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build their electrical skills through hands-on experience while working alongside experienced electricians. The ideal candidate is dependable, willing to learn, comfortable working outdoors, and ready to be an active member of the installation team.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist Journeyman Electricians with residential battery energy storage installations
• Measure, cut, and prepare PVC conduit and materials for installation

Requirements:

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent qualifications
• 4+ years of residential electrical installation experience
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and installation practices
• Ability to work independently and manage your own day with limited supervision
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install PVC conduit
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to take ownership of assigned work
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to successfully pass a background check
