Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, and fluid checks.
• Help identify worn or damaged components and communicate findings to senior technicians.
• Learn to properly use shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic technology.
• Assist with repairs involving diesel engines, electrical systems, cooling systems, fuel systems, and related components.
• Help document inspections, repairs, and parts used.
• Assist with parts handling and inventory organization.
• Keep workstations, tools, and shop areas clean and organized.
• Follow company safety procedures and proper shop practices.
• Participate in training and hands-on skill development.
• Communicate with experienced technicians and management regarding assignments, progress, and questions.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on repair shop environment with exposure to vehicles and equipment, mechanical components, fumes, and moderate to high noise levels. The position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting tools and parts as part of normal shop work.
