What You'll Do
Learn & Develop Your Trade Skills:
- Assist Journeymen and Foremen with commercial plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Learn proper plumbing installation techniques and industry best practices.
- Develop the ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Learn pipe layout, fitting, installation, and other essential plumbing skills.
- Develop proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and plumbing equipment.
- Participate in on-the-job training and classroom instruction designed to help you progress toward Journeyman credentials.
Job-Site Support
- Assist with moving and organizing materials and equipment.
- Prepare work areas and ensure materials are readily available for the crew.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Properly care for tools and equipment.
- Follow direction from Journeymen and Foremen.
- Support the crew in completing projects safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
Safety & Professional Development
- Follow all company and job-site safety policies and procedures.
- Learn and apply safe work practices.
- Maintain a strong safety-first mindset.
- Ask questions, accept coaching, and continuously develop your skills.
- Take pride in your work and contribute positively to the team.
Required Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Genuine interest in learning and building a career in the commercial plumbing/pipefitting trade.
- Willingness to learn new skills and accept direction from experienced tradespeople.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and a willingness to learn proper tool usage.
- Physical ability and stamina to perform hands-on work in a construction environment.
- Strong attendance and reliability.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to travel to commercial job sites throughout Central Ohio.
- Willingness to work overtime and extended on-site hours when project requirements dictate.
- Previous plumbing or construction experience is helpful but not required.
