Job summary

National Property Consulting & Management (NPC &M) is seeking an Apprentice Carpenter based in Massachusetts to join our field team. This entrance-level, full-time role involves assisting a Facility Mechanic on service calls and small projects across New England.

Training covers carpentry, drywall, flooring, ceilings, wall coverings, and related tasks. Responsibilities include learning trade techniques, site prep, documenting progress with photos, and coordination with customers.

Qualifications

• No prior construction experience required; entrance-level position.
• Trade school or vocational training is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.
• Clean driving record is required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Basic computer skills: MS Outlook, MS Word.
• Travel as required to support assignments.
• Night shift availability is required.
• Criminal, driving background checks and drug testing will be completed.

Responsibilities

• Learn proper trade techniques under supervision of a Facility Mechanic.
• Assist with loading/unloading, tool handling, and site cleanliness.
• Daily communication and reporting to the Facility Mechanic and Manager.
• Assist with planning and layout of projects.
• Provide daily progress photos and before/after photos.
• Maintain field pictures and ongoing communication with customers.
• Coordinate with customers as needed.
• Complete carpentry, maintenance, flooring, drywall/framing, concrete tasks as directed.
