Job summary

Teema Group seeks an Apprentice Carpenter for our residential remodeling team specializing in high-end bathroom renovations in Charlotte, NC. You will work alongside experienced lead carpenters to learn the trade, build skills, and assist from demolition to final trim.

Responsibilities include demolition, framing, drywall, trim, subfloor prep, and tool management. You will follow OSHA safety guidelines on-site and progress toward journeyman status through hands-on training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic knowledge of or strong interest in residential carpentry and construction practices
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools

Responsibilities

• Demolition & Prep: Assist in safely gutting existing bathrooms, removing fixtures, tile, cabinetry, and drywall.
• Framing & Structural: Learn and assist with minor wood and steel stud framing for walls, niches, shower benches, and floor leveling.
• Drywall & Backer Board: Install cement board, waterproof membranes, and drywall in preparation for tile and finish work.
• Trim & Millwork: Help measure, cut, and install baseboards, window casing, crown molding, vanities, and medicine cabinets.
• Subfloor & Floor Prep: Assist in repairing subfloors, laying underlayment, and preparing surfaces for custom tile installation.
• Tool & Material Management: Stage job site materials, maintain hand and power tools, and load/unload equipment safely.
• Site Safety & Cleanliness: Follow OSHA guidelines, wear PPE, and ensure daily site cleanup to protect customer homes.
