Velocity Vehicle Group in Reno, NV is seeking an Apprentice Body Shop Technician to join our team. This entry-level role offers extensive hands-on training, shadowing master techs, and exposure to truck body restoration, axles, transmissions, and electrical work.

You will learn in a supportive environment with plenty of training, while earning $20 per hour (plus experience-based increases). We provide competitive benefits, 401k with matching, and a Great Place to Work culture.

• Performs body restoration for trucks

• Replaces starter, frame rails, fifth wheel and roof
• Performs electrical work on trucks
• Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of trucks
• Complies with all federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations

What You’ll Do:
VVG is looking for anApprentice Body Shop Technicianto join the team. This is an entry-level position for anyone who is eager and motivated to learn body shop operations and technician’s duties. Lots of training will be provided, which includes shadowing one of the master techs.

Job Duties

• Performs body restoration for trucks
• Performs work on rear and front axels
• Replaces transmission, radiators and compressors
• Replaces starter, frame rails, fifth wheel and roof
• Performs electrical work on trucks
• Performs body restoration of damaged truck
• Notifies Manager of any additional repairs needed
• Notifies Manager of any difficulties or problems that may prevent quality job from being performed or cause a change in promised time
• Maintains tools and equipment in proper state of repair
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment
• Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint and other hazardous materials
• Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of trucks
• Complies with all federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
• Must be able to pass post-offer drug screening, physical examination (including a lift test), and background check
• Prolonged periods of standing.

Compensation:

• $20/hr+ depending on experience
