Job summary

Treasure Island Hotel Casino in Las Vegas is seeking a professional bartender to greet guests, prepare and serve cocktails, and maintain a stocked bar according to Beverage Department standards.

You will handle cash and room charges, assist new employees, check IDs, and ensure health and sanitation practices are followed while delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year bartending experience in a high-volume hotel / restaurant.
  • Proven ability to communicate with customers in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of ABC laws.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and converse with guests to suggest or receive cocktail order.
  • Prepare and serve cocktails following hotel guidelines.
  • Clean and organize bar to beverage department standards.
  • Prepare order to replenish stock at bar to pre-determined par levels.
  • Provide exceptional service to customers.
  • Follow departmental cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Prepare cocktails for cocktail servers.
  • Ensure correct health and sanitation practices are followed.
  • Ensure the correct glassware / stemware is used according to Beverage Department standards.
  • Acknowledge every guest with a prompt and friendly greeting.
  • Answer questions related to property correctly and professionally.
  • Handle cash, credit cards and room charges in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Assist new employees with training and answering questions.
  • Check IDs if the guest appears to be under 30.
  • Replace dirty ashtrays by capping off ashtrays with a clean ashtray.
  • Inform management of any problems or concerns.
  • Be ethical and professional at all times.
  • Communicate with Management to keep them informed of special requests from a guest.
  • Answer telephone using the property telephone etiquette standards.
  • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.
