MGM Resorts International is seeking an Apprentice Bartender for Pool Café at Vdara in Las Vegas, NV. You will assist bartenders with drink prep, keep the bar area clean, and ensure stocked supplies to deliver a seamless poolside experience with attentive service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the bartender with the preparation of drinks, mixes, and garnishes.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar area.
• Maintain sufficient stock of all items and products in designated work areas.
• Ensure proper setup, labeling, stocking, and delivery of alcohol, non‑alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice.
• Clean equipment, tools, supplies, polish glassware, and ensure equipment is in working order.
• Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignment.
• Promote and maintain the highest level of service to all guests and respond to inquiries.
• Resolve guest complaints within your scope or refer to management.

THE JOB:

As an Apprentice Bartender at Pool Café at Vdara, you will help create a refreshing and memorable poolside experience through warm, attentive service. You will support bartenders with beverage preparation, maintain a clean and inviting bar environment, and ensure the team has everything needed to deliver seamless service. By anticipating guest needs and bringing a welcoming attitude to every interaction, you will help create relaxing, personalized moments that reflect the elevated experience of Vdara.

THE STARTING RATE:

$15.80/Hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Assist the bartender with the preparation of drinks, mixes, and garnishes
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar area
• Maintain sufficient stock of all items and products in designated work areas
• Ensure proper setup, labeling, stocking, and delivery of alcohol, non‑alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice
• Clean equipment, tools, supplies, polish glassware, and ensure equipment is in working order
• Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
• Promote and maintain the highest level of service to all guests while staying alert to their needs, and respond effectively to guest inquiries
• Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Is looking to get their Union POUR card required to become a bartender
• Is 21+ years of age
• 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience
• Experience as an apprentice bartender working in a similar resort setting preferred
