Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas, NV is hiring a Bartender to craft drinks, ensure guest satisfaction, and provide excellent service. Responsibilities

• Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standardized recipes
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the bar and equipment
• Be knowledgeable about menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections
• Process payments and handle cash following procedures
• Provide training and mentoring to Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter
• Maintain bar inventory and stock levels
• Resolve guest complaints within authority or escalate to management
• Perform other duties as requested

THE JOB:

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for being knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non‑alcoholic selections as well as maintaining the appearance of the bar. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING RATE:

$17.0131 USD Hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Make and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed
• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order; including, cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of the bar
• Knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non‑alcoholic selections available
• Ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork
• Provide Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending
• Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
• Perform other job‑related duties as requested

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Is 21+ years of age
