Key responsibilities include producing high-quality bakery products to meet customer expectations and building customer loyalty through excellent service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn all aspects of the Bakery Department, including Clerk and Cake Decorator functions. It is ideal for someone with minimal or no retail decorating experience who is eager to support a team, grow into leadership, and inspire others. Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Experience Desired: Prior experience in Bakery or related industry
• Education Desired: No High School diploma required
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Perform bench work according to established scratch procedures as needed.
• Prepare and shape products according to recipes.
• Bake products using specified time and temperature settings.
• Manage proofing processes, including inserting products into proof boxes and setting controls.
• Prepare and fry donuts following established procedures.
• Store products in the freezer to maintain freshness.
• Utilize suggestive selling techniques and offer samples when appropriate.
• Prioritize safety for team members, guests, and products at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, assisting with product location, answering questions, and offering suggestions.
• Handle products and equipment following food safety and safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, work areas, and storage to meet sanitation standards.
• Bake and rotate bakery products, ensuring freshness and proper dating.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures diligently.
• Record special bakery orders accurately to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Understand ingredients and their purposes in scratch baked goods.
• Gather ingredients and prepare for baking operations.
• Assist with unloading deliveries to maintain bakery backroom efficiency.
• Support other areas of the bakery as needed.
