Key responsibilities include producing quality bakery products, building customer loyalty through exceptional service, and supporting various bakery functions including clerk and cake decorator duties. This role is ideal for someone with minimal or no retail decorating experience who is eager to learn and grow.

Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Experience Desired: Prior bakery or related industry experience
• Education: No high school diploma required
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years old

Job Responsibilities

• Perform bench work according to established scratch procedures.
• Prepare and form products as per recipes.
• Bake products using specified time and temperature.
• Insert products into proof box, set controls, and monitor size and shape.
• Prepare and fry donuts following established procedures.
• Store products in freezer to maintain freshness.
• Demonstrate suggestive selling and provide sampling when appropriate.
• Prioritize safety in all tasks for team members, guests, and products.
• Provide excellent customer service: greet customers, assist with product location, answer questions, and make suggestions.
• Handle products and equipment following food safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, work area, and storage spaces.
• Bake and rotate bakery products, ensuring freshness and proper dating.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures.
• Record special orders accurately.
• Understand ingredients and their purposes in baking.
• Assemble ingredients for baking operations.
• Assist in unloading deliveries and maintaining backroom efficiency.
• Support other bakery areas as needed.
