FedEx Logistics is seeking a qualified Aviation Maintenance Technician. The role involves performing safe and efficient maintenance on FedEx aircraft as assigned by the Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician, with emphasis on adhering to safety standards and procedures.
Applicants must hold a valid A&P license, be capable of lifting heavy components, and be willing to work odd weeks, rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays in a FAA safety sensitive position.
Performs safe and efficient routine and non-routine maintenance on FedEx aircraft as assigned by the Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician. Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma/GED.
Obtains on-the-job training (OJT) and 36 months proficiency in the area of aircraft maintenance to meet the experience requirements for progression to Aviation Maintenance Technician.
Valid A&P licenses. Must be able to lift & maneuver heavy aircraft-related components, parts & equipment.
Must be willing to work odd work weeks, rotating shifts, overtime, weekends & holidays. FAA Covered Safety Sensitive Position. Subject to regulatory Alcohol & Drug Testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. A valid non-restricted drivers license from the state of residence is required.
Candidates must have an Airframe & Powerplant License and fewer than 36 months of experience maintaining turbine powered aircraft that exceed 12,500 lbs. Manufacturers' Empty Weight (MEW). The desired location for this position would be Indianapolis, IN. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
