Job summary
A large automotive dealership in Houston, TX is seeking an Apprentice Technician to support the service team by performing minor repairs and learning under a Master Technician. This entry-level role includes training and mentorship, with a competitive hourly pay range of $18.00 - $20.00. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience and have opportunities for career growth within the company after completing the apprenticeship period.
Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the USA and possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements including background check, MVR, and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside a Master Technician mentor to learn dealership procedures and technical skills.
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs as outlined on repair orders.
- Assist with vehicle inspections to identify additional service needs.
- Learn to diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete repairs under supervision.
- Complete required OEM online training as part of the apprentice curriculum.
Skills
Basic mechanical aptitude

Reliability in attendance
Education
Completion of an automotive technology program (e.g., UTI, WyoTech, or similar)
