Job summary

GTG Training at Hereford is recruiting an Apprentice Autocare Technician for an independent garage. You will learn hands-on vehicle repair and maintenance while earning a wage and pursuing an IMI automotive qualification through the Modern Apprenticeship Programme.

You will train through GTG Wolverhampton with block-release weeks to Level 2 Autocare Technician or Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician. GCSEs in Math/English/Science or Technical subjects are required.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths, English and a Science or Technical subject (or equivalent).
• A proactive, willing-to-learn attitude with good time management.
• Full UK driving licence is not essential but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance in a garage workshop.
• Assist with servicing, MOT preparation, and removal/replacement of major components.
• Develop diagnostic skills for electrical faults and system checks.
• Participate in GTG training weeks and on-site assessments.
