Job summary

Zimbrick is seeking motivated individuals to join its Apprentice Program, designed to blend hands-on training with manufacturer coursework to build automotive technicians over approximately two years.

Participants work alongside Technician Educators and Mentors, developing skills in engines, transmissions, and EV systems, with opportunities for certification through GM, Honda, and Hyundai.

Responsibilities

• Assist Technician Educators & Mentors in inspect and repair of Pre-Owned Vehicles.
• Perform Express Services, fluid maintenance, and light mechanical repairs.
• Provide quick multipoint vehicle inspections to identify additional service needs.
• Perform pre-delivery inspections and accessory installs on new vehicles.
• Develop skills to become a certified technician.

Participate in certified trainings through the manufacturer while working with the Zimbrick Technician Educator & Mentor Team building skill sets to provide continued opportunities for career advancement, recognition and monetary rewards.

Assist Technician Educators & Mentors in the inspection and repair of Pre-Owned Vehicles.

Perform Express Services, fluid maintenance, and light mechanical repairs on customer vehicles.

Provide quick and thorough multipoint vehicle inspections, to assure ample time for additional service recommendations to be performed this visit.

Perform pre-delivery inspections and accessory installs on new vehicles.

Develop the skills necessary to be a successful Certified Technician.

Zimbrick is invested in leading the next generation of aspiring technicians through our Apprentice Program. The Apprentice Program is designed to combine brand specific, hands-on technical education and real world work experience. Our campus features a blended learning model, which combines Technician Educator led training with hands-on application and online manufacturer courses. This accelerated program is designed to build your knowledge to be a skilled automotive technician in approximately 2 years. You will explore a variety of techniques to maintain, diagnose and repair problems in engines, transmissions, fuel, brakes, electrical, steering/suspension, exhaust, and advanced technology systems as well as hybrid, diesel and EV systems. This foundation will build your base knowledge from the ground up, allowing for Certification options with General Motors, Honda and Hyundai and preparing you for an in-demand career that fits your passion.

An excellent apprentice has a strong work ethic, the desire to learn, with the discipline and drive to succeed. They are trustworthy and dependable and looking for a career with endless potential. They will have excellent problem-solving abilities, mechanical and technical aptitude. They must also have the ability to effectively communicate one-on-one with customers or employees within our organization.
