Rebel Road Hot Rod Garage is seeking a shop apprentice to begin a hands-on journey into automotive restoration. You will assist with disassembly, cleanup, and reassembly under the guidance of experienced technicians, gaining practical skills in classic car restoration.

This full- or part-time position offers weekday hours (Mon-Fri, 8-5) and opportunities to learn traditional and modern techniques, stay safe in a busy shop, and advance toward more senior technician roles through ongoing training.

As a shop apprentice at Rebel Road Hot Rod Garage, you will embark on an engaging journey to discover the essential practices that support the restoration of classic vehicles. This role provides you with valuable exposure to the world of automotive craftsmanship as you assist with shop operations and learn from experienced professionals, building a strong foundation in the respected tradition of automotive restoration.

Employment Type: Full Time/Part Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities:

• Assist in Projects: Work alongside experienced technicians to restore classic automobiles, including disassembly, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling components.
• Learn Techniques: Gain knowledge of traditional and modern techniques.
• Maintenance and Care: Assist in the maintenance and care of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, documenting procedures, parts used, and progress on each vehicle project.
• Research and Learning: Conduct research on specific vehicle models, parts availability, historical accuracy, and best practices to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Shop Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure the shop is free of clutter, trash and all tools are put away.
• Customer Vehicle Care: Maintain clean, professional and detailed care of each vehicle in the shop. Ensure all vehicles are free of tools, clutter, trash and are always presentable to owner and other customers.

• Meet Billed vs Production hour KPI goals. Individually and with the team.
• Number of successfully aided projects completed within a given timeframe.
