Job summary

Winston Artory Group (WAG) is seeking an Appraisal Manager to lead appraisal projects from intake to final delivery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and top-tier client care. This role manages day-to-day coordination with clients, specialists, and colleagues to meet WAG’s standards and USPAP requirements.

The role involves drafting USPAP-compliant reports, coordinating valuations, and supporting onsite examinations across property categories, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in personal property appraisal or related art services role.
  • Current USPAP certification, with a professional designation in progress or achieved.
  • Strong organizational, written communication, and client correspondence skills, with the ability to manage multiple active project files.
  • Experience in one or more personal property categories and familiarity with art market research tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, plus comfort with CRM and project management platforms.
  • Ability to travel for onsite examinations as project needs require.

  • Serve as the primary client contact on assigned projects, communicating status updates and managing expectations with professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Draft, edit, and assemble USPAP-compliant appraisal reports across assigned property categories, incorporating specialist valuations, market research, and comparable sale data.
  • Coordinate with internal and contractor specialists to obtain valuations, supporting documentation, and object-specific expertise for complex assignments.
  • Perform and support onsite examinations of personal property collections, including photography and cataloguing, with travel as required.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date project records and contribute to departmental process improvements, templates, and workflow initiatives.

About the role

The Appraisal Manager is the production core of WAG’s appraisal department, responsible for managing assigned appraisal projects from intake through final delivery with accuracy, efficiency, and excellent client care. This role owns the day-to-day coordination of appraisal assignments—liaising with clients, specialists, and colleagues to ensure every report meets WAG’s quality standards and USPAP requirements.

What you’ll do
