Job summary

Champaign County Supervisor of Assessments office is hiring an energetic, motivated individual to fill our full-time Assistant Deputy/Appraiser Analyst. The Assistant Deputy/Appraiser Analyst assists in carrying out administrative, fiscal, and clerical functions of the department.

Develops appraisals of residential and commercial properties using property appraisal techniques and statistical analysis. Assists Township Assessors with yearly and quadrennial assessments and trains assessors in the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 3–5 years of admin/supervisory experience.
• Ability to interpret statutes and regulations for property assessment.
• CIAO designation to be completed within 1 year of hire and ongoing CE.

Responsibilities

• Develops property appraisals using standard techniques and statistics.
• Assists with annual and quadrennial assessments and trains staff on CAMA software.
• Coordinates work, assists residents with inquiries about taxes and values.
