Marksman Security is seeking an Unarmed PGR Retail Security Officer for 2nd shift in Texas. Full-time and part-time openings available. Ideal candidates have security or related experience, strong customer service skills, and a valid Texas security license.

Candidates should be able to perform extended patrols and pass pre-employment checks. Responsibilities include patrolling, responding to calls, reporting clearly, and coordinating with team members and clients.

Hiring Immediately Unarmed PGR Retail Security Officers

Full-Time and Part-Time Openings

2nd Shift

$16.32 Hourly

Date and Time: Friday, September 18, 2026, starting 11:00AM - 2:00PM

Ideal candidates will have previous experience as a security officer, security guard, and/or other safety and protection related fields, including customer service roles.

Must have the following:

• Computer skills required.
• Weekend Availability.
• Current valid Texas security license.
• Able to conduct extended foot patrols.
• Must have a current TX driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of areas in the public right of way to identify potential safety and security risks
• This job entails engaging with the public and responding to any and all calls for service in the public right of way.
• Maintain a visible presence and engage in professional public interactions
• Document all interactions in a clear and concise written report, ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Communicate and pass on all pertinent information to fellow team members, other safety teams, and the client.
• Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
• Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and/or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
• Other duties to be determined by management

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• High school degree or equivalent
• Valid Texas state driver’s license
• Valid Texas Guard License
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time!
