Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist to develop tactile- and force-driven manipulation policies for highly dexterous, multi-fingered robotic hands. You will research and build policy learning algorithms enabling grasping and in-hand manipulation in real-world environments, using touch/force feedback as primary signals.

You will work across tactile sensing, motor control, sim-to-real transfer, and multi-modal sensor fusion to deploy robust robotic capabilities, with mentorship and collaboration

Formación

• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Research or applied experience in tactile sensing, manipulation policy learning, or multi-modal perception for robotics.
• Experience deploying learned policies or control algorithms on physical robotic hardware.

Responsabilidades

• Design and train manipulation policies leveraging tactile/force feedback for dexterous grasping and in-hand manipulation.
• Drive sim-to-real transfer to close the gap between simulation and real hardware.
• Shape objectives and control strategies with hardware constraints in mind.
