Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist to help build next-generation selection/assortment systems on the Specialized Selection team within SCOT. You will work with engineers, PMs, and business teams to define problems, design innovative ML-driven solutions, and productionize models to optimize assortment under capacity constraints.

The role focuses on modeling substitutability, basket-building, and forecasting, with opportunities to publish findings and mentor other scientists.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• PhD or Master’s with 4+ years in CS/CE/ML.
• Experience with patents or publications at top-tier venues.
• Proficient in Java, C++, Python or related language.
