Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking an Applied Scientist to lead research in foundation models and agentic AI for robotics applications. You will work on large vision-language-action models, reasoning and task planning, and reinforcement learning to advance intelligent robotic systems.

Responsibilities include model development, data management, experimentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across hardware and software to deploy advances at scale.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field with 4+ years of ML/algorithms experience.
• Strong background in deep learning, CV, or RL applied to robotics.
• Proven ability to publish or contribute to research with patents or top-tier venues.

Responsibilities

• Model development and training of foundation models for vision-language-action tasks.
• Data management including governance, provenance, and pipelines for training data.
• Design experiments to validate model performance on simulators and embodied platforms.
