Job summary

Amazon's GDS-MOP Science team is seeking an Applied Scientist with strong operations research and optimization skills to build production solutions for labor capacity planning in the Fulfillment Network.

You will collaborate with scientists, software engineers, product managers, and operations leaders to develop optimization-driven solutions and deploy them across Amazon's fulfillment network, ensuring scalable, reliable performance and measurable impact on efficiency and associate experience.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree with 4+ years in CS/CE/ML or related field.
• 3+ years building models for business applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop domain knowledge of operational processes and system architecture.
• Create scalable mathematical models for production systems.
• Develop prototypes and simulations for agile experimentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to productionize solutions.
• Design experiments and build metrics to track performance.
