Job summary

TikTok is seeking an Applied Scientist for the Global Frontier Tech Recruitment Program, starting in 2027, based in San Jose. You will join the Business Integrity team to build a state-of-the-art moderation system, handling multi-language, long-form content, and adversarial inputs with scalable ML models.

Qualifications

• PhD in software development, CS, CE, or related technical discipline.
• Experience modeling in Ads, Search, Recommender, NLP/CV, multimodal or agent technologies.
• Strong foundation in algorithms for LLMs and deployment.
• Strong publications in top conferences like ICLR, NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, EMNLP, NCVPR, ICCV, ECCV.

Responsibilities

• Build a leading moderation system with end-to-end capabilities for accurate rejection decisions and interpretable reasoning.
• Collaborate with global teams to deploy scalable ML models for content understanding and moderation.
