Job summary

Amazon's Central Learning Solutions (CLS) Science team in Amazon Operations seeks an Applied Scientist to drive design, research, and development of science initiatives for leadership and associate development. You will lead research on learning trends and create real-time personalized recommendations using GenAI for leadership and associates through chat assistants.

You will collaborate with a large team, communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, and advance learning

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's with 4+ years in CS/CE/ML or related field.
• Experience with patents or publications at top-tier conferences or journals.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python.
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing.

Responsibilities

• Apply science models to extract actionable information from learning feedback.
• Build recommender systems to generate personalized learning interventions for Ops employees.
• Leverage GenAI/LLM technology to scale learning experience workflows.
• Design and implement metrics to evaluate AI models.
• Present deep dives and analysis to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
