Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist II to build an AI-based data intelligence and classification platform for security and privacy assessments at scale. You will lead the design of AI-driven security automation, integrate with internal security tools, and drive technical innovation across teams.

The role requires deep expertise in AI/ML, LLMs, and distributed cloud infrastructure, with hands-on work and leadership to align multiple business units.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• PhD or Master’s degree with 4+ years in CS/CE/ML.
• Experience with patents or publications at top-tier conferences or journals.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related languages.
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing.

Responsibilities

• Architect and define the next-generation data classification and search matching platform for AI-driven security automation.
• Build on multi-agent LLM framework and influence adoption of approaches across teams.
• Develop scalable ML-based and LLM-based security agent framework for automated data processing.
• Provide technical leadership while also solving deep system performance problems.
