Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist II to join the Supply Chain team in Seattle. You will design and deploy ML models for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, anomaly detection, and decision-making at scale.

You will also develop generative/agentic AI to automate complex workflows and translate research into production systems. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, drive end-to-end projects, and mentor other scientists while leveraging AWS

Qualifications

3+ years of building models for business application experience.
PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy ML models for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, anomaly detection, and supply chain decision-making.
Develop generative AI and agentic AI solutions for automated supply chain workflows.
Formulate real-world business problems as ML problems; define data requirements, model architectures, evaluation metrics, and experiments.
Drive end-to-end applied science projects from ideation to production deployment at scale.
Collaborate with engineering, product management, and business stakeholders to translate capabilities into customer-facing features; mentor other scientists.
