Job summary

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is seeking an Applied Scientist to push state-of-the-art robotics techniques. You will drive perception, manipulation, sim2real transfer, RL, and multi-task learning, designing novel algorithms for real-world deployment.

You will integrate hands-on expertise with scientific leadership, guiding a team to robust solutions in dynamic environments and communicating complex work to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• Patents or publications at top-tier conferences/journals.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and ML.
• PhD or Master's with 3+ years of applied research.
• Strong publication record in Robotics/CV venues.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical initiatives in robotics foundation models and RL.
• Design experiments to test model limitations and develop new methods.
• Create novel deep learning architectures for robot understanding.
• Mentor scientists while contributing hands-on work.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to scale models for real-world use.
• Influence technical decisions within your area of focus.
