Amazon’s Modeling and Optimization (MOP) Team is seeking a scientist with strong optimization skills to design and improve Amazon’s transportation and fulfilment network in Bellevue, WA. You will develop models and collaborate across teams to boost speed, reduce costs, and cut carbon emissions.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree with 4+ years in science, tech, eng or related field.
• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• Experience programming in Java, C++ or Python.
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel/distributed computing, HPC.
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier conferences or journals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy models and tools for Amazon's global fulfilment network.
• Collaborate with scientists to create integrated solutions that improve speed, cost and carbon emissions.
• Provide scientific analyses to support business decisions using various methodologies.
• Design science tool platforms, deploy models, create data pipelines, or simplify processes.
