Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist to shape long-term planning and forecasting using GenAI and reinforcement learning. You will build next-generation forecasting and analytics products, designing sophisticated solutions for large-scale planning across Topline, Inventory and Fulfillment capacity.

You will work with applied scientists, researchers, economists, product managers, and software engineers to balance theory and practical implementation, communicating complex concepts and driving

Qualifications

• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master's with 4+ years CS/CE/ML experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop forecasting, planning and insight generation products powered by GenAI and RL.
• Design and implement novel scientific solutions to large-scale problems.
• Collaborate with applied scientists, researchers, economists, product managers and software engineers.
• Communicate complex technical concepts and drive data-driven decisions at scale.
