Job summary

Collinear AI is seeking a Member of Technical Staff (Applied Scientist) with deep expertise in engineering sciences to work at the frontier of AI-accelerated simulation. You will collaborate with customers and internal research teams to build, test, and deploy AI Physics Models for CFD, structural mechanics, semiconductor design, multi-physics modeling, and digital twins.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s in ML, ME, EE, or related field.
• Strong foundation in physics or engineering sciences.
• Experience implementing and training DL models.
• Proficiency in Python in Linux/HPC.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Autonomy in fast-paced, cross-functional settings.

Responsibilities

• Execute Simulation Campaigns: design and orchestrate large-scale simulation campaigns using domain-specific solvers (OpenFOAM, ANSYS, COMSOL, Abaqus).
• Train AI models on physics datasets and evaluate coverage, accuracy, and quality against validation standards.
• Build robust automated frameworks for dataset creation, simulation orchestration, and model evaluation.
• Integrate LLMs with workflows connecting AI to engineering pipelines.
• Collaborate with research teams to analyze training runs and address data sparsity or bottlenecks.
• Lead research initiatives and manage technical communications with external teams.
