Job summary

Cohere is seeking an MTS in Applied ML to shape and deliver custom models and frontier-model capabilities for enterprise customers. You will collaborate across engineering, research, and customer teams to translate complex problems into scalable ML solutions.

You will influence model performance, techniques, and evaluation strategies while owning high-impact ML initiatives in a fast-moving, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in ML/AI with ability to frame problems as ML solutions.
• Proficiency in Python and core ML/LLM frameworks.
• Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed training/inference.
• Understanding of LLM architectures, post-training, tuning techniques.
• Evidence of shaping LLM performance in practice.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver custom LLM solutions for enterprise customers.
• Translate business problems into ML objectives with clear success metrics.
• Contribute to foundation-model stack and CPT recipes.
• Drive high-impact ML initiatives with customer-facing engineers.
