Job summary

General Motors in Sunnyvale, CA seeks an Applied ML/AI Manager - Behavior Validation to lead a cross-functional team focused on evaluating autonomous-vehicle behavior and human benchmarking. You will design and deploy offboard ML models and shape validation pipelines that inform model releases.

You will partner with autonomy, simulation, safety, and product teams to align ML priorities with milestones, guide technical roadmaps, and drive scalable, rigorous evaluation for safe, intuitive vehicle

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in CS/ML/Robotics or related field.
• Strong Python and PyTorch programming skills.
• 2+ years of people management or tech lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a cross-functional team focused on behavior evaluation for autonomous vehicles.
• Design, implement, and operate offboard ML models capable of robust behavioral inference.
• Architect technical roadmaps, shaping strategic ML priorities aligned with company objectives and product milestones.
• Partner closely with autonomy, simulation, safety, and product teams to integrate these models into the validation ecosystem of autonomous vehicles.
