Are you passionate about storytelling, content creation, andconnecting people through communication? The Online and AdultLearning Communications Intern will help share the stories,achievements, and experiences of online and adult learners atWichita State University through writing, digital content, andcommunity engagement initiatives. In this paid applied learning opportunity, you'll gain real-worldexperience creating press releases, writing feature stories,developing web and digital content, and supporting communicationsfor student programs and events. You'll help promote initiativessuch as the Shocker Comeback Program, Parents And CaregiversCommunity (PACC), First Gen Achievers, and the Adult LearnerCommunity and Connections (ALCC) Pre-Season Program. This position is ideal for students interested in public relations,marketing, journalism, digital media, or strategic communication.Through mentorship and hands-on projects, you'll build aprofessional portfolio, strengthen your writing and contentcreation skills, and gain valuable experience communicating withdiverse audiences while supporting student success initiativesacross the university.
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technicaltasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the studentassistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other studentsor provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Create engaging written and digital content that highlights theexperiences, achievements, and opportunities available to onlineand adult learners. Assist with press releases, feature stories,website updates, event promotion, and communications for studentsupport programs while collaborating with staff on outreach andengagement initiatives.
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6credit hours at Wichita State University.
Applicant must be a student in Liberal Arts and Sciences(LAS).

Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate acomputer and other office equipment including but not limited tophone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicatewith others and accurately exchange information.
