Job summary

Poshmark is seeking an Applied AI Scientist to lead end-to-end data science initiatives and deploy high-impact models that power feed personalization, product recommendations, and safety improvements.

You will collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to scale solutions across product, marketing, and operations, while exploring cutting-edge AI trends to keep the platform innovative.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience building scalable data science solutions in a big data environment.
• Hands-on experience with CNNs, Transformers, and Vision Transformers.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark (Scala or PySpark), with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong foundation in linear algebra, statistics, probability, calculus, and AB testing.
• Clear communication of complex ideas to executives and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data science initiatives from ideation to deployment with measurable impact.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to design/high-impact models.
• Develop scalable solutions for product, marketing, operations, and community functions.
• Own ML lifecycle: data exploration, model development, deployment, and optimization.
• Explore emerging AI trends to keep Poshmark at the forefront of data science.
