Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Applied Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Lead to shape an agent platform enabling safe, scalable agent-based solutions. You will partner with product, engineering, and business leaders to set technical direction and raise engineering standards.

You will mentor engineers, drive platform components, and balance speed with risk and long-term maintainability while delivering measurable business impact across teams.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on applied artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Production software systems that integrate machine learning capabilities.
• Experience with modern languages Python, Java or Go.
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks PyTorch, TensorFlow or JAX.
• Experience designing platforms or shared services with clear interfaces and developer experience.
• Cloud and container orchestration (Kubernetes) knowledge and reliability engineering basics.
• Proven ability to lead through influence and deliver outcomes across cross-functional partners.
• Strong problem-solving, ambiguity handling, and technical decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the platform roadmap for agent-based capabilities, focusing on outcomes, reliability, and usability.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of core agent platform components, including SDKs and reference implementations.
• Partner with product, engineering, risk, and control stakeholders to align requirements and unblock execution.
• Establish quality, performance, and operational standards for agent workloads with monitoring and incident readiness.
• Translate experimentation into production by driving scalable architecture decisions and deployment practices.
• Guide governance, privacy, and model risk considerations into platform design.
• Mentor and develop team members through coaching and design reviews.
• Communicate strategy and progress to senior stakeholders with data and pragmatic recommendations.
