Perplexity Computer seeks an experienced software engineer to join the Agent Capabilities team. You will evaluate frontier models, prototype and launch agent systems, and drive improvements in planning, tool use, and multi-agent collaboration.

You will own the full lifecycle from experimentation to production, with an emphasis on reliability, safety, and user satisfaction across complex, real-world tasks.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience owning the AI product lifecycle, including data analysis, evaluation, and production monitoring.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate frontier models against real user tasks and turn advances into production agent systems.
• Own the lifecycle from rapid prototyping through launch, monitoring, and iteration.
• Improve agents’ planning, tool use, context management, error recovery, and reliability for long-running tasks.
• Apply ML techniques to design scalable agent capabilities (skills, plugins, tools, auto-research, multi-agent collaboration).
• Define architecture and product experiences enabling users and agents to compose sophisticated solutions.
• Own agent behavior end-to-end, define offline/online evaluations for performance, safety, latency, and user satisfaction.
