The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead rollout and governance of Claude, ChatGPT, and enterprise AI tools. You will gather use cases, configure AI assistants, and enable staff across the agency to leverage AI responsibly.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Data Science or related field.
6+ years of experience in software engineering, AI, or related technical field.
Experience deploying/configuring AI platforms in business workflows.
Public sector or government technology experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead rollout and configuration of enterprise AI platforms like Claude and ChatGPT across the agency.
Partner with business users to gather use cases and translate them into AI configurations.
Manage AI tool lifecycle from pilot to enterprise certification and governance.
Train staff and provide hands-on support for AI platform capabilities.
Collaborate with AI/Data Product Owner and IT staff to deliver AI solutions.
