Job summary

Strativ Group is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to design and build AI-powered features at the intersection of machine learning and software engineering. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 3+ years software engineering or ML experience.
• 1+ year deploying AI in production.
• Experience integrating LLMs into applications.
• Familiarity with agentic systems and multi-step workflows.
• Experience with experimentation for software quality.
• Backend development for production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy applications powered by large language models and other AI techniques.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and software components that integrate AI capabilities into production applications.
• Explore agent-based approaches to automate complex, multi-step workflows and improve how users interact with software.
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure model quality, test different approaches, and identify areas for improvement.
• Apply statistical analysis and experimentation to understand system performance and make evidence-based engineering decisions.
• Work with complex datasets and domain-specific requirements to develop solutions that are accurate, reliable, and useful in practice.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and specialist teams to translate challenging requirements into working software.
• Improve the performance, scalability, and maintainability of AI applications operating in demanding production environments.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and help establish effective practices for building and deploying AI-enabled products.
