Job summary

Aaru Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer for Applied AI in NYC to build AI-native simulations and tools. You will work primarily in Python and TypeScript on agent systems, simulation pipelines, and product features, collaborating across engineering and GTM teams.

Qualifications

• Strong general software engineering fundamentals and ability to work across layers.
• Experience building AI-native products, agents, LLM applications, or similar systems.
• Fluency with Python, TypeScript, React, APIs, workflow systems, relational data models, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Improve agent functionality within Aaru's product, including interaction design, tool use, context handling, orchestration, reliability, and model behavior.
• Optimize simulation pipelines to increase throughput and reduce bottlenecks for large or repeated runs.
• Build evaluation harnesses and architecture making agent and simulation capabilities testable and reproducible.
• Prototype and evaluate promising company bets through focused experiments and technical investigations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineering teams and GTM teams to ensure usability and dependability in real workflows.
• Write clear technical designs and documentation outlining assumptions, dependencies, tradeoffs, and risks.
