Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino invites seasoned data and AI engineers to design and operate the data and AI platform for Business and Education.

You will own end-to-end AI and agentic systems, from retrieval and planning to deployment, across Databricks and cloud-native stacks, delivering scalable, secure data products. You'll collaborate with product, analytics, and AI teams to translate ambiguous requirements into production-ready solutions, mentor engineers, and help shape an AI-first data

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data/analytics/software/ML engineering with Applied AI in production.
• Architect, build, and operate production AI products with LLMs, agents, and deterministic components.
• Hands-on fluency with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and vector search; design multi-agent systems.
• Production discipline: evaluation harnesses, guardrails, telemetry, cost/latency optimization.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Mentor engineers and lead multiple projects across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the data and AI platform for Business and Education on Databricks, AWS, and modern cloud-native patterns.
• Own AI and agentic systems end-to-end: retrieval, planning, evaluation, guardrails, deployment, on-call rotation.
• Build data foundations for GenAI, agentic AI, and advanced analytics: RAG, vector search, knowledge graphs, multi-agent orchestration.
• Maintain scale with model selection, latency/throughput optimization, and token economics at Apple volume.
• Partner with product, business, analytics, and AI stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, production-ready systems.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through design reviews, implementation guidance, and rollout across projects.
