Doist is seeking an Applied AI Consultant to work with our most strategic customers, understanding objectives and challenges, and turning them into measurable business value on Omnea’s procurement automation platform. The role emphasizes problem framing, solution design, and business impact over build speed, with a focus on rapid value demonstration.

You’ll design AI‑powered solutions, prototype value, and lead workshops to explore innovative uses of AI in procurement, finance, and supply chain.

The Role

As an Applied AI Consultant you’ll work directly with our most strategic customers to understand their objectives and key challenges, identify high‑impact AI opportunities, and translate them into measurable business value.

You will build AI solutions on Omnea’s procurement automation platform, combining structured data from requests, approvals, contracts, and supplier records with AI to automate tasks such as routing requests, flagging risk, drafting contract terms, and negotiating with suppliers.

This customer‑facing role focuses on problem framing, solution design, and business impact rather than full implementation.

What You’ll Do

• Identify high‑impact AI opportunities by working closely with enterprise customers to understand their strategic priorities and operational challenges.
• Design AI‑powered solutions, translating complex business problems into scalable solution architectures that eliminate manual work across procurement.
• Prototype and demonstrate value, rapidly building proof‑of‑value solutions that show tangible outcomes to business and technical stakeholders.
• Lead AI innovation with customers through workshops, hackathons, and innovation sessions that explore new ways AI can transform their operations.
• Drive adoption and business impact by partnering with customer teams to ensure successful implementation, adoption, and measurable value realization from AI deployments.
• Develop domain expertise, building deep knowledge in specific industries or business domains such as supply chain or finance and scaling that knowledge across the organisation.

What’s Different About This Role

You will spend more time on problem framing and validation than on hand‑building every proof of value. Your job is to decide whether a prototype actually solves the customer’s problem and moves the metric that matters, rather than simply presenting an impressive demo.

Writing a sharp brief for what you want AI to build will become a core skill. Judgment on business impact matters more than raw build speed and knowing which use case will truly move the customer’s key metric.

About You

• 5+ years of experience in solutions consulting, data/AI consulting, technical pre‑sales, sales engineering, value engineering, or customer‑facing solution architecture.
• Strong ability to translate business challenges into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to business and executive stakeholders, including whiteboarding sessions and formal readouts.
• Deep understanding of business processes across procurement, finance, and supply chain, and skill in translating high‑level business needs into specific AI use cases.
• Clear presentation skills to both internal and external stakeholders, able to demonstrate value in terms of time saved, error rates reduced, or adoption increased.
• Hands‑on experience identifying, designing, and building automations or AI‑driven solutions for repeatable processes.
