Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Suwanee, GA seeks an Applications Systems Analyst to support business systems and MIS infrastructure, and to manage user requirements and projects. You will document procedures, assist in training, and participate in tool implementation to meet business needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience (7+ years considered in lieu of education); strong communication and MS product proficiency, plus Progress database and Infor SX expertise.

Applications Systems AnalystThis person will be responsible for supporting the current and future business systems, computers and infrastructure, and the user requirements in these areas. The Applications Systems Analyst will not only support the users in these areas but will also be assigned tasks and projects that relate to the business systems, related applications and Information Technology projects.Key Responsibilities include:Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.Writes documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.Develops and documents commonly used practices and procedures.Participates in the implementation of the tools created to address identified business requirements.Assists in the user training process.Assists in the resolution of user and system issues surrounding the business system and MIS systems.Supports the business systems and computer infrastructure to include back-up procedures, code movement and testing, upgrades, system maintenance and project team duties.Investigates and resolves system issues through research, analysis, and replication of reported problems to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities to be successful include:Bachelor’s degree required.3 to 5 years’ experience required that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; 7+ years of professional experience considered in lieu of the meeting the educational requirement.Working knowledge of Microsoft products and database concepts (Progress database a plus).Knowledge of a broad range of relevant multi-user business systems, applications and/or equipment.Working knowledge of Infor’s SX. enterprise (CSD) applicationProven organizational and communication skills.Ability to communicate with and understand the requirements of the users in the functional areas of specialty.
