Job summary

Strategic Systems Inc in Bluffton, Ohio is seeking an Application Support Engineer to build new custom applications, support ERP and data collection systems, and help integrate DX technologies across our group companies.

You will design, develop, and maintain web-based solutions, perform SQL data analysis, create BI reports, and collaborate with vendors and internal users to deliver reliable, scalable software.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CS/IT or programming.
• Strong SQL skills to build reports and troubleshoot data.
• Experience with SQL-Server and/or Oracle databases.
• Proficiency in HTML and web development.
• Knowledge of ERP concepts and barcode technology standards.
• Experience with Python/Flask is preferred.
• Experience maintaining applications on Windows and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, support, and maintain new web-based applications.
• Utilize ERP capabilities and automations to provide solutions.
• Troubleshoot ERP, data collection, EDI, and third-party apps via SQL and logs.
• Build dashboards, reports, and queries in BI tools.
• Integrate BI and custom apps with third-party software and databases.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders for installs and testing.
• Collaborate with users to understand business processes and design new solutions.
• Support DX integrations and automation technologies.
• Research new technologies to streamline processes.
