Onto Innovation is seeking an Applications Scientist 3 to lead characterization of IRIS-G2/G3 hardware and software features at customer sites in the United States. The role involves developing measurement methodologies, throughput models and BKMs, and supporting demonstrations and qualifications.

You will interface with technical support and HQ engineering, analyze data, and recommend product improvements. Travel up to 30% per year is expected, with opportunities for growth across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Engineering Sciences, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Sciences, Optics, Physics.
• Experience with semiconductor fabrication and process integration is a plus.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems systemically and independently.
• Knowledge of statistics and design of experiments.
